Independent Living Unit Information

  • All units have 2 bedrooms and are unfurnished. They do not come with a fridge or washing machine.
  • Kitchen comes with an oven and induction cooktop only.
  • Bedrooms are fully carpeted with vertical blinds and a ceiling fan and built-in robe.
  • The kitchen, lounge and dining area are open plan and come with vinyl planking flooring, vertical blinds and a split system air-conditioner. The raked ceilings give a spacious feel.
  • We offer Gold (Standard) units as well as Platinum (Disability).
  • We allow pets, however a pet bond will have to be paid. Roosters, chickens. livestock are not permitted and CEACA reserve the right to review suitability of other animals.
  • Maximum of two persons to occupy the unit and both must be on the lease.
  • All applications are assessed fairly against our Eligibility Matrix. CEACA is a private Landlord and as such reserves the right to refuse any application without giving a reason. Priority is given to applicants over 65 years or living with a disability, but also considers those on very low or low incomes, regardless of age.
  • Tenants are responsible for their own electricity and water charges as well as maintenance of their garden/reticulation. CEACA maintain common areas, where present.
  • Units are 'as seen' however it tenants wish to make changes to the unit or the gardens, they simply submit an application for CEACA’s consideration. The costs for any alterations are the tenant’s responsibility.
  • The properties are managed by the CEACA Operations Manager and Elders Real Estate.

  • Photo identification - passport or drivers licence. (all tenants)
  • Bank Statement(s) - current page giving balance(s).
  • Character Reference - person must be known to you for 5+yrs.
  • Landlord Reference - if previously rented.
  • Payslips x 2 - most recent (if working) - all tenants.
  • Letter from GP confirming that you are able to live independently (if disability indicated on application form).
  • Supporting documentation can be emailed to info@ceaca.org.au or posted to CEACA Inc C/- Regus, PO Box 1257, Osborne Park WA 6017. The application process will only be finalised when all documentation has been received by CEACA. If you do not have access to a scanner, the cec or shires have facilities.
