The 27 independent living unit CEACA Inc development in Merredin was officially opened in a ribbon cutting ceremony on 24th July 2020.  The ceremony was attended by the CEACA Chairman, Terry Waldron, the Hon Alannah MacTiernan, a number of state politicians, representatives from the Shire of Merredin and other Local Governments.

The ceremony was opened by the Shire President, Julie Flockart.  The Hon. Terry Waldron acknowledged the success of the project and the quality of the unit development and welcomed Hon MacTiernan who performed the cutting of the ribbon.  Honoured guests, residents and elected members gathered in front of the CEACA unit.

The completion of this quality housing project in Merredin, as well as 44 additional units in Bruce Rock, Kellerberrin, Koorda, Mt Marshall, Mukinbudin, Nungarin, Trayning, Westonia, Wyalkatchem and Yilgarn is enabling many of our towns ageing community members and those living with a disability to remain close to local connections, services and support.
