CEACA Inc Enters A New Exciting Phase!

Published on Tuesday, 14 December 2021 at 9:50:00 AM

CEACA currently owns and manages 71 independent living units across 11 Shires in the Central East Wheatbelt Region. These units have proven to be very popular and are fulfilling their purpose of enabling the elderly and those living with a disability to remain living in their own homes for longer surrounded by family and friends. We also assist those on very low and low incomes to access affordable living options.

CEACA Members have formed a strategic plan for the future and one of the items that they are currently focussing on is the provision of home care services for not only CEACA tenants, but community members across the region. The services that we are looking into include assistance with cleaning, gardening, meal preparation, personal care, transport, mobility aids, occupational therapy, respite and restorative care.

We are pleased to announce that CEACA is working with Catholic Homes and Baptistcare in relation to providing these services to the region and both are keen to explores ways in which they can either expand on their existing services or introduce the local community members to what is available.

The process for accessing a short term or long term care package can be very confusing and trying to navigate the very complex aged care systems can be confusing and overwhelming. It is for this reason that we recommend using the services of a home care provider, who can utilise their internal resources to assess a client, develop a care plan, submit the paperwork to My Aged Care and manage the funding and program when it is approved.   The waiting times for approval of a Home Care Package may be lengthy and it is for this reason that we recommend investigating options sooner rather than later.  There is no obligation and individuals are within their rights to shop around and meet with multiple care services providers.

Catholic Homes is a Christian, not-for-profit aged care organisation who have been providing home care, residential living and retirement living options in WA for more than 50 years.  Their model of care “Care with Purpose” aims to encourage people to remain active and busy for as long as possible and continue to do things that bring them joy.  Catholic Homes understands the joy of being at home and regardless of age, ability, religious faith or cultures, will welcome you and ensure that you feel relaxed, happy and at home.

Your independence, wellbeing and right to choose how you would like to live at home is a priority for Catholic Homes.  They will not limit your choices, they will support your decisions, welcome your creativity, facilitate change and work with you to make sure your home care service is perfect for you.
