CEACA Seniors Housing Project

Royalties for Regions grants ensured funding for the construction of 71 two-bedroom units across CEACA’s 11 Member Councils. The independent living units developed by the CEACA Seniors Housing Project are suitable for older adults and designed to be easy care, reduce falls and accidents and enable older people and those living with a disability to remain living safely in the own homes and communities for longer.

The primary purpose of the CEACA Seniors Housing Project was to construct age appropriate houses that delivered the following outcomes:

  • Keep older people living in rural communities for longer through the provision of appropriate and affordable housing options.
  • Stimulate economic and employment growth via the construction and management of assets and provision of aged care services.
  • Create an asset base and cash flow that can be leveraged for the ongoing growth of community housing in the region.
  • Deliver efficient health and support services to the ageing community.
